Checking Out Books

Due to the library renovations taking place at GJHS during the 2025-2026 school year, students may check out books virtually through 3 main sources:
1) Through our online catalog via Destiny to borrow books from other campuses. Click here to access. 
2) Comic Plus (an online catalog of 8000+ comic books and graphic novels). Click here to access. 
3) Learning Ally (an online catalog of eBooks and audiobooks aligned with ELAR curriculum). Click here to access, and then click log in through school using Gainesville ISD. It will re-route to Clever. 

If a student would like to borrow books from another campus, they have a maximum checkout limit of two. However, all current fines and/or lost items must be accounted for before checkouts will be allowed. Students will only be allowed to have a book checked out to them from another campus for two weeks. 

If a student would like to access online books, there is no checkout limit, nor is there a limit to student access to the books. Access to online books is allowed to students anywhere they have WiFi and technology access. Note: Comic Plus subscription access is only available to GJHS students.
